Delegation of youth sector representatives of Azerbaijan visits Turkey

Azeri and turkish NGO representatives

A delegation of active representatives of the youth sector of Azerbaijan paid an official visit to Turkey.

The delegation included head adviser of the department for work with youth organizations of Azerbaijan’s Ministry of Youth and Sport Ramil Mammadov, head of the World Association of Turkic youth Ekrem Abdullayev, head secretary of the Ireli public union Rauf Mardiyev and representatives of other youth organizations.

Within the framework of the visit our delegation visited Turkish Jalova, Bursa and Istanbul. Also the Azerbaijani delegation met with representatives of NGOs and the government of the fraternal country.

They familiarized with the youth policy of Turkey their working mechanism and priority of their activity. In addition, the Azerbaijani delegation discussed the issue of further cooperation and implementation of joint projects with the Turkish side. The sides formed a general plan of actions between the two NGOs of our countries.

Also the participation of a delegation of 25 young people from different youth organizations for volunteering assistance in organization of the European Youth Olympic Games of 23-30 July in Turkish Trabzon was held coordinated. The volunteering team of 10 Ireli activists assisted the Turkish side in organizing the 25th World Winter Sport Games among Universities from 27 January until 6 February of 2011.

Presentation of IRELI Public Union

Within the framework of the recent visit the head secretary of the Ireli public union Rauf Merdiyev met with representatives of WWF Turkey. The representative of the Earth Hour on Turkey Ezhde Unver said he will support the organization of events in Azerbaijan.

Also the Turkish delegation is to visit Azerbaijan at the end of April. This meeting is organized at the agreement, reached between Minister of Youth and Sports Azad Rahimov and director of Turkish Youth and Sport Yunus Akgul. Mister Akgul paid an official visit to Azerbaijan in December of the last year.
