Armenians living in France are putting pressure on young Azerbaijanis not to protest outside the Euronews headquarters in Lyon.
The chairman of the IRELI Public Union, Jeyhun Osmanli, said Armenians were calling the organizers of the protest, including Forward coordinator Aydin Mammadov, and threatening them.
“Despite that the young people insist on holding the protest.”
Osmanli said Azerbaijani students and young people from seven European cities were converging on Lyon to attend the protest, which was scheduled to begin at 14.00 Baku time.
Euronews broadcast a report from the occupied territories of Azerbaijan in which it presented separatist Nagorno-Karabakh as an independent state and described the leader of the separatists, Bako Sahakyan, as “president” of the so-called “republic”.
